Typical High School Life.

Well, even though I haven't posted in a while, life has been going good.
I am a Junior, and a full time public school student, which is awesome. I have good grades, and get really good grades in a college class. I am an unoffical leader in band, and I have my license. Youth group is going good too!

summer and other stuff.

Wow. Summer went by fast!! I got my best friend for 3 weeks, went to Orlando with my youth group and survived a 13 and a half hour band camp!!! School started this past week...My first year of full time public school. So Far I love all my classes and love being in public school. Band is in full blast marching season, "How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse" We have split the band into 2 for concert season, and I am in the lower band, called Concert Band. I'm totally fine with it though, as it is giving me an opportunity to show leadership skills in hopes of making true leadership my senior year. In Concert Band I have 7 leadership positions I have taken over as all of our leadership for band in in the top Symphonic band. It's fun being a leader!

spring concert

The spring concert went really good. One of my good friends got Drum major...so that is good!! And I rocked my solo...it sounded just like a professional recording I had been practicing with!!! I didn't get leadership, but I'm OK with that. Now to live through the last week and a half of school then it will be SUMMER!! THEN I GET MY BEST FRIEND FOR 3 WEEKS!! CAN'T WAIT!!

Wow.

Wow. A lot has gone on since December. In January a man that was like my grandpa passed away. Then I went to Meltdown. My room was the party room!!! We had so much food and a blast!! Then I went to Chrysalis in March, that was amazing (can't tell you more about that...its against the rules) In April I went to Discovery weekend with my youth group. That was amazing. I also made National Honor's society and was inducted into it this past week. Yesterday I got a solo for band...my First solo!!! I am so excited!! My concert is on Tuesday and that is when we find out who gets leadership...I am trying for section leader and band captain. This summer Abbey is coming for 3 weeks!! School is almost out and I can't wait to be on summer break!

Best sleepover ever!!!!!!

THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!  I got not quite 24 hours with my best friend. I had a blast!!! We talked almost non stop, did our nails, did makeovers and a photo shoot!!!! We didn't think we would get to see each other until next summer, so we were really happy to get even just one night. We had so much fun and it wasn't as hard telling her goodbye because we know that next summer I will most likely get to see her again.

Gatlinburg!!!

WOW!! Gatlinburg was awesome!!! I had so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!! I went on my first real rollercoaster, it even went upside down!! Now for Christmas, a visit from my BFF, New Year's then back to school!

Not this year.

Well. Our football team won't be going to state this year. :( we lost big time last Friday. We were #5 in the state and we played the #1 team. The final score was 27-65. OUCH!!! Good thing is that we scored more points on them than any other team that they played this year! Maybe next year we will make it.

Now for a band concert, chair placement, and GATLINBURG!!!

Raider Band Pride!!!!!!!

WOOOOWWWW. My band has had an amazing year!!! At our last competition we took our class, FOR EVERYTHING!!! Drum major, visual, band, marching, percussion, color guard AND Best in Class!!! We were also 4 points behind the 1st place band for the over all competition. We rock!!!! And our football team only has 1 more game to win, a home game this Friday, then we go to state!!! ANND a week from Sat I am going on our band trip!! YEEAAAAAHHH BAND!!!!!!!

Sophomore Year so far.

So, I have decided to do a post on sophomore year so far. And it has been crazy, and it's only the 2nd 9 weeks!! I am loving the classes I am taking in the public school, and band as always is awesome. This year my band is hippies, and we love it!! I also went to homecoming this year, and it was so boring! I left early!! I got my first school pic this year, thought that was pretty cool! This weekend is our last competition, so really looking forward to that! Not much else going on other then my crazy youth group!!! I'll post after Saturday with results from the competition.

So we had our district competiton on Sat. Straight superiors for the second year in a row!! RAIDER BAND PRIDE!

Sophomore Year.

Well...I am a sophomore. This year I am doing 3 classes at the high school and 3 at home. I do band, then I go to Biology Honors then Geometry. Biology is kinda fun because one of my band friends is in it. I don't know anybody in Geometry, but I don't really care. I have survived 2 days of "public school" since I had never been in a public school classroom until yesterday. It will be interesting to see how the year goes. Band is good. Our show this year is "Summer of Love, 1967"...It will be better once we get enough days with out rain to actually march and put the show on the field!! And come to think of it, the show will be better when my band teacher gives us music for the rest of the show and drill!! We only have drill for the first song and 1/2 the second...and we don't have music for anything but the 1st and 2nd songs!! And we only have about 35-37 school days till our first competition!! YIKES!!! Well, I guess we will see how everything goes this year! It's going to be interesting that's for sure!

My friends.

So I have decided to do a post on my friends. These 5 people are some of the best friends I have...and for sure 5 of my best friends at youth group. Corinne, Darion, Levi, Micah and Drew and I...oh we have had some crazy times!! :) All of us, minus Levi, have been in the same car for a year. Me, Micah and Drew are always in the same car. We all know everything about each other and we are all there for each other no matter what. We talk, laugh, make up jokes, and have fun. We are like siblings, with Drew's mom being all of our "other mom". Micah, the one in red, recently moved. He moved to were I grew up actually. We all miss Micah. But, we will keep in touch and non of us will forget each other.

Discovery 2012, Seek.

So last weekend I went to Discovery. It is a youth retreat with just my youth group. This year's theme was Seek. Being a High school-er, I got to do one of the talks. I was so scared!! And it was in front of my friends to! MY friends said that I went from normal, to pale, to green to read right before my talk. I talked about Labels. I did fine!!! I had so much fun last weekend...I learned how to play ping-pong, went to the beach and got fried, hung out with friends, cried with friends... typical youth retreat

Band, one of the coolest things I will ever do!

Wow! So, recently my band played for get this, 7,000 or more! We marched in while a famous saxophone player announced us. She said "Please welcome, the Navarre High school Marching Band!" And they all cheered! They loved us!! Hearing her announce us and knowing I was part of that is the coolest thing ever! It's kinda like on Friday night foot ball games, and they announce us.All the drama that happened 5 mins ago, all the never ending days of practicing, none of that matters anymore. Your out on that field, getting ready to play, and you know that you are one of the groups that is the face of the school. You know that everyone will love you, and all your hard work has paid off. Nothing matters once they announce you and you step onto that field. People are watching you, and seeing how the band is getting better, or when you march out on the field and they say "you may now enter the field for competition" the most awesome thing! I get goosebumps! And I'm technically not supposed to smile while at attention, but when they announce us, I can't help it! I grin because I know about all the behind the scenes work that we do, the hours of practice we put in, the amount of drama that happens between the kids and the teacher. Wow....I just spend a whole post rambling on about band. Sorry if I bored you!! :p

Whoa. A lot has gone on!!!

Wow. A ton has gone on since I last posted!! (I'm about to do one of my long posts, be prepared!)

Youth: At you things are going great. I wrote this, I don't even know what to call it, thing about Meltdown in the past couple of months that I told my small group leader, who told me to show my youth group leader who is going to put it in the church newsletter! Kinda cool! (And if you keep this a secret I will tell you) I am doing one of the talks for Discovery, a retreat in April that the High school kids do for the Middle School kids. I'm kinda nervous, but one of my friends suggested me and the team setting it up agrees that I would be the best person to do it....sooooooo. Yeah.

Church: Church is going good. Nothing really to say. My friends are good, crazy, but good!!

Band: In band we are getting ready to do a powder puff football game on Thursday. Then we will play for a Jazz Festival sometime in April. Other than those 2 things and our spring concert (no idea when that is) and our band banquet in May, we are focusing on recruiting middle school band kids this spring. We should have our show for next year getting set in the next couple of months.

Other: I went to see the Hunger Games at Midnight.....AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the Hunger Games!!! I love Peeta, Katniss, everything! It is so amazing! Weird and disturbing, but amazing.
We also moved into our new house. Now we are getting unpacked and stuff.

Meltdown.

Meltdown 2012 was AWESOME!!!!!!! It was so good!!! The theme was AWAKE. They wanted to know if we were Awake in God. We had at least 4 people from my youth group accept Christ for the first time..that I saw. I can't wait to see what next year brings.

Ok, I am going to do a quick recap of my life. Marching Band is over, I am 2nd part 5th chair. We are currently working on concert band music.
Youth is good, Meltdown is coming up, so I can't wait for that!
Church is going good too.
I read the Hunger Games and it is AMAZING!! I can't wait for the movie to come out in March. My birthday is in less than a month!

UGGHHHHHH!

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! that is how I feel today. Just ugh! I am having trouble with one of my friends in band. Last year she was one of my best friends, and up until like 2 months ago,we did everything together. Now she is hanging out with the upperclassmen and I am invisible. It is awful! I just hope my day gets better!

Hello

Hello! Just thought I would post. Nothing going on but band. So far we are a straight superior band!! We got straight superiors at FBA, a competition that all the upperclassmen said we would get 2's on. They haven's gotten straight superiors there (or an overall superior) since 2005!!!
